Enrollment Information


Students who are interested in enrolling in one of the four consortium programs must be referred by a counselor or assistant principal from the student’s respective high school. All referrals must be approved by the assistant superintendent. To enroll in one of the programs, each student must attend an Intake meeting with their school's counselor, parent and SCOPE/SSLCMS principal. Once everyone is in agreement with the rules and regulations of the program, a contract is signed and the student will begin classes on the following Monday.  Intake meetings are held only on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of every week.  Parents play a significant role in each program and are required to attend monthly parent meetings, where they have the opportunity to meet with other parents and their child’s teachers. They also receive information and discuss topics of their concerns including, advocating for their child's education, other resources or information concerning grants/scholarships for college. The consortium received outside funding for the implementation of the parent component of its programs. On the last Friday of each month, parents and their students will attend a meeting together.  They are provided with resources that will help students make appropriate choices when confronted with adverse issues in their homes, classrooms or community. Parents are responsible for providing transportation to and from school for their student.
